Human beings have been swimming for a long time. History tells us that swimming has dated back from 4000 BC. The benefits for swimming now are great. Since swimming adds buoyancy to the body, it helps protect joints in the body from stress or strain.
Swimming is available to us at all ages. It helps our Cardiovascular System. It gives us more endurance and improves our oxygen intake.
Swimming even help injured sports players. As a means of rehabilitation, doctors will prescribe the athletes to swim. The resistance in water is very beneficial for those sore muscles.
